Yesterday theEDIT hit up the VIP Media launch for 30 Days Of Fashion & Beauty in Sydney's Botanic Gardens, which kicks off this weekend with back-to-back festivities at Sydney’s Lower Town Hall. What’s it all about you ask? Well, it’s basically a weekend when magazines come to life and all of your favourite titles and editors dish out style advice like it’s going out of fashion (which it isn’t).
So with so many fashion and beauty experts in one room (no really, you couldn’t swing a cat without hitting an influential stylist or beauty editor) it would have been just plain selfish of us not to ask the hard-hitting style questions. So we did (you’re welcome)...

I wish I had the guts to try... Skinny leather pants and a thick fringe!
My ultimate beauty indulgence... La Prairie 3 minute peel is amazing. It eats away at your dead skin cells and leaves you with perfectly dewy skin. I’m talking so perfect you can skip on make up all together. (And can I just say, when it comes to skin product recommendations I’m signing up for whatever Alexis is spruiking. This chick’s skin is flawless... no really, I was looking for flaws. Found none.)
And over to your Amy:
My favourite bargain beauty buy... Lanolips, a serious multi-tasker of a product. I use it on my lips, eyes, cuticles and to tame unruly brows. Nivea ‘Soft Rose’ lip balm is also a bargain obsession of mine. It’s not available in Australia yet (but will be soon!) so when I go to Italy I stock up.
The fashion trend I wish I had never tried... Low hipster jeans with an extreme flare. Not because they’re not cool, it’s just that they’re pretty much everything I shouldn’t be wearing on my bottom half.

The ‘I-can’t-live-without’ fashion item... I’m currently obsessed with my Kate Sylvester leather skirt, I wear it at least twice a week.
Trend I wish I had never tried... As far as beauty goes, it once had the weirdest frizzy fringe that I thought looked amazing, but in retrospect, not so much. I also once wore a head-to-toe yellow outfit. Never again.

If I could only wear one label for the rest of my life it would be... When I’m in Australia, Zimmermann, but as far as international brands go I love Alexander Wang, Givenchy and Balenciaga, everything they do is so classic. (Umm, Annabella that’s not one?)
My best beauty buys... Lucas Paw Paw ointment never leaves my side!

My beauty secret weapon... Bare Minerals is by far the most amazing make-up I have ever used, it gives you an absolutely flawless finish. (Amy wasn’t feeling 100% on the day, in fact, she confessed she was a little green under her make-up, but she looking flipping radiant)
My favourite Aussie designer... At the moment it is Romance Was Born - whenever I have something to go to and the fashion girls bring me in options I always seem to gravitate towards Romance Was Born.
