Marchesa co-founders Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig are pervoyers of fabulous evening frocks so of course thier offices were going to be pretty, glam and fairly girly. US Vogue snuck into the Marchesa head office in Chelsea New York to roll around in sequins, help hot glue gun rhinestones onto gowns, eat pastel coloured cupcakes and talk about boys they like. Well, that may not be true, but that's how I imagined it went down.
Checking out other people’s inspiration boards is one of my favourite hobbies (after collecting stamps and bird watching of course) and the Marchesa mood board is up there with the best. It’s filled with pretty pastel shots of roses, editorials and vintage photographs, inspirations that obviously find their way into their red-carpet collections.
Although the light filled space that makes up Marchesa’s head office is mainly white it’s certainly not clinical, but how could it be when there is more tulle and sparkly things in there than at a Gypsy wedding?
