Tried & Tested: Kit Cosmetics Nail Strips

Written by

You know the best type of person to test out tricky beauty products? Total beauty dummies like me! Yep, that's right. I'm bloody hopeless at anything beauty related. Liqud eyeliner? Not a chance. Contouring? What does that even mean? Applying lipstick without getting that annoying bleeding business? Pfft. So when these beauties landed in theEDIT office passing them off to the most cosmetically challanged seemed like the best idea we've had yet.

I read the instructions, but kinda didn't follow them and just made it up along the way, but it worked (sorry just spoilt the suprise, I know). Here is my step-by-step for applying these bad boys...

One | Get your kit (Zing!) together, including a cuticle pusher-backer thingo, a nail file and of course your nail strips.

Two | Give your nails a quick file and push back your cuticles to tidy 'em up.

Three | Get sticking! There is a clear protective sheet on each side of the stickers. I took off one at a time starting with the sheet at the back, then when I had the sticker in place I peeled back the one that goes over the top.

Four | Once the sticker is in place I smoothed the transfer starting at the cuticle and working my way to the nail tip until the whole nail was covered.

Five | Using the nail file I got rid of the excess (of which I had a lot thanks to my child like nails) at the tip and also around the sides.

Six | Repeat depending on how many fingers you're lucky enough to have. And ta-dah! You're done. The whole process is very unfussy and actually very easy. Check 'em out and if you're really keen buy them!

Have you tried nail transfers before? Would you try these?
