Kerstin Florian Is Now In Australia

Written by

Spas - real spas - aren’t just about relaxing; they’re about mind and body and holistic health and maybe even living just a little bit longer. Of course, they’re also about getting pampered to within an inch of your modesty towel... So with all that in mind, a gaggle of the land’s most fabulous beauty editors and I recently took a pilgrimage down to Bowral (home of Don Bradman and Mary Poppins) and booked into the Gibraltar Hotel to get acquainted with one of the newest birds in the Australian spa flock, Kerstin Florian.

The brand was founded by Swedish-born Kerstin Florian in 1978 but is now faced by daughter Charlene who came to show us the ropes - the fact  she’s a forty-something with a twenty-something’s body was enough to get me asking questions... (like how much yoga do you do? What do you eat for breakfast? And are those real?) It turns out, Charlene practices what she preaches. And then some. She’s like the Dalai Lama of Spa. Look at her; a shining beacon of all that is wholesome and natural, no?

Long story short, after a facial and some at-home testing, we give Kerstin Florian two thumbs up. With ingredients like fancy botanicals, algae and mud, this is real cellular-level type stuff. Whether you choose an in-spa treatment or want to take home a hyper-vigilent moisturiser there are a few different ranges, but the Correcting Skincare range was the one that had me sold - you’ll fix my problem skin and even out my wrinkles? Yes, please!

Want to know where you can get yours? Here’s a list of Kerstin Florian alters throughout the land...

Park Hyatt Melbourne (from July onwards)
Palazzo Versace, Gold Coast
